Cosplayer Namada from Japan and photographer Kazan Yamamoto decided to work together and do something… artistic & octonique.
I really like tentacles and so I had always wanted to try being photographed with octopuses” she told Tokyo Girls Update.
After collaborating with Yamamoto-san then came the task to get a LIVE 40-pound North Pacific octopus.
I wanted to take on the challenge of showing off the real sliminess (of octopus) through photography. It was quite stimulating to make so many discoveries while doing it”
Both of them spent allot of time trying to get the shot with the octopus alive, however it wouldn’t cooperate. (durr?)
Taking photos was a challenge not only because of its large size, but that it was constantly moving around leaving slime on Namada. It even shot out ink at one point! So they did what any Japanese cosplayer with a octopus photography fetish would do… they boiled it, took the pictures, and then ate it. YUK!!!! (T_T);
If for whatever reason you enjoy this type of octo-fetish photography you can follow Namada on her instagram or Kazan Yamamoto. And please do not send the animal right activist to us, at least they didn’t let it die in vein, they did eat it!
